In order to apply for Vietnam visa and enter, there are some cases as below that you need to present your passport:

  • Your nationality is exempted to enter Vietnam without Vietnam visa in 15 days.
  • You are going to stay in Vietnam for not more than 30 days with single entry.
  • You are planning the stay from 1 month to 12 months with multiple or single entry.
  • You will be going to Phu Quoc island and use free-visa for not more than 30 days.

No matter what your purpose is – tourism or business, your passport must be valid at least 6 months from the day you enter Vietnam – this is a very important condition. If not, you won’t be accepted to enter Vietnam.

While staying in Vietnam, the validity of your passport might be less than 6 months, it is possible to keep staying if your visa is still valid. If you are going to leave Vietnam and comeback, your visa should be a new one because its validity is not more than 6 months as before.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
