E-visa is the most popular way to get visa to Vietnam now. It is the best choice of those who meet the requirement when Vietnam Government has extended eligible country list up to 80 countries.
However, due to its convenience, more and more visitors apply it every day. The Evisa application page is updated, but the system sometimes cannot serve for a big number of applicants. That is the reason why many applicants get evisa later than the expected time. Besides visa is delayed, one of the most trouble thing which applicant meet recently is “no-support”. When applicants apply in Government website, they cannot contact any one, and when the evisa is delayed, they don’t know when it is approved, as well as how to push it to meet their travel time. The Government evisa application page does not have communication support, there is no staff for answering applicants’ questions, there is no way to contact and check application process.
So, how to do when the travel date is coming, but evisa is not delivered yet?
Visa on arrival is the best way in this case. The visa on arrival is visa getting on the date of arrival, so you can have enough time to do. But you should note that in order to get visa on arrival, you have to prepare a document called “visa approval letter”.
This letter is applied online, and it can be done after 1 hour (for supper express service) or half day (for normal express service). However, you should apply it soon because the more urgent you apply, the more extra fee you pay. If you apply it 2 days before the entry days, it costs only 6 USD for 1 month single entry tourist visa. The amount of money is not high, so you totally can apply it in advance as a back up plan in case your evisa is coming late.
