According to newly updated information from the Vietnamese government, the 15-day visa exemption policy for Denmark and 7 other European countries was canceled on the afternoon of March 9, 2020.
As we all know, Denmark is included in the list of countries allowed to enter Vietnam without having to apply for a visa if the stay is less than 15 days. This regulation has been applied since 2015 and is expected to end in June 2021. However, due to the complicated situation of Coronavirus in Europe, the Vietnamese government decided to suspend the visa exemption policy for Danish citizens and 7 other countries, including: UK, France, Germany , Spain, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. This new regulation officially takes effect from 3 pm on March 9, 2020. Thus, Danish citizens traveling to Vietnam after 9/3/2020 must apply for a visa to enter.
The way to apply Vietnam visa for citizens of Denmark and other countries is the same:
Step 1: Click on the link https://www.vietnam-evisa.com/apply/ to access the online visa application page
Step 2: Fill in the required information in the online visa application form
Step 3: Proceed the online payment
Step 4: Receive the visa via email
Vietnam visa processing time for Danish citizens is 2 working days. In urgent cases, visas can be processed faster.
Note: Although the Vietnam visa exemption policy for Danes is canceled, Danish citizens can still apply for a Vietnam visa. All Danish passport holders who have a visa can enter Vietnam normally.
